Jewelry is a hugely popular handmade item, and Etsy makers do a fantastic job in offering pieces that stand out from something you could just pick up at Target. That being said, Anna Tabor Studio is in a league of its own when it comes to curating something totally different—and you’re going to fall in love with every piece.
Anna Tabor has always been fascinated with craft-working of all kinds, oftentimes challenging herself to make by hand whatever cute accessory or memorable item she would find in stores. As early as middle school, however, Anna began to develop her iconic method of wrapping bits of colorful paper around wooden beads to make necklaces. What started as a tiny side-hustle during grade school has blossomed into an eye-catching jewelry business.
Trained in graphic design, Anna has a natural eye for harmonious yet unexpected patterns and color schemes. By collecting scraps of paper from magazines, maps, envelopes, decorative napkins, sheet music, and much more, Anna devises “paper palettes” for each distinctive necklace.
Anna is drawn toward unconventional color and pattern combos when creating her pieces. “We aren’t as afraid of color and pattern pairing as we once were,” Anna remarks. “I think pattern mixing is one of my favorite parts of the process, as I never know how things are going to turn out.”
Exploring Anna Tabor Studio on Etsy, you’re bound to find a necklace with a unique color/pattern combo to fit any outfit you could imagine. As each scrap of paper is individually selected by Anna, no two beads are the same, and every necklace is its own work of art. Be sure to find Anna on Etsy and Instagram, and order one of these beautiful masterpieces for yourself!
